First off, let me say Happy belated holidays, Happy New Year, all that good ole stuff. I hope all is well with everyone and all the kids had a great Holiday. It feels like I have so much to tell and discuss with you guys I don’t know where to start. Since we are still winding down from the holidays, let’s have a quick discussion. Then maybe some veteran Parents could chime in or just leave your experiences in the comments. So how or what did you do to clear out space for new toys?
When you have intuitive children, let me tell you, it can make the task at hand very difficult, LOL. Baby Girlz has way too many toys. I repeat, baby girlz has way too many toys even now with the others uhm “missing.” So when my wife first brought it to my attention that we had to get rid of some of her old less played with toys, my response was, “oh.” For multiple reasons, I was playing Call of Duty, and I know my child, and I knew she would notice any missing toys. As usual, I procrastinate. Weeks go by, and Christmas was like a week away, still room packed with miscellaneous toys ( sidenote don’t hate I do my best work at the last minute).
Anywho the hard part began; we stay up in the wee hours of the night waiting for her to fall asleep so we can sneak the toys out. Days go by our tired ass fell asleep every night. One day I give in ask GIGI to watch her and get as many toys as I can. Still not enough space, so the wife stays up one night and gets rid of more when I tell you it’s still seems nothing was thrown out of here. Nights I sit and think, “did the toys “Toy Story” me and walk back here?”. If you are asking yourself, did Baby Girlz notice yes, she did. When she asks me about any toy that is not here anymore, I switch the subject ” you said you want some cookies?” LOL.
So next year, I’ll be ready like I’ll most likely wait till the last minute again and hope for the best. Unless you have a better solution go ahead and leave it in the comment section and save me some time, until the next time, keep making being a dad a Trending Topic!
